Easy Taco Dip

Easy Taco Dip is a very simple recipe. It’s so simple, I have never actually written it down on a recipe card so I tend to forget about it. Growing up my Mom almost always made it on taco night. My siblings and I would always munch on it while my Mom finished cooking the tacos. I can still hear her to this day saying stay out of the dip and wait until dinner! I have always liked the dip by itself with chips, but it is also great on tacos in place our your sour cream. Any one that has ever came to my Mom’s house for a taco party in high school or just friends stopping by for a taco dinner will know what this dip is.
Ingredients for Easy Taco Dip
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 8 oz sour cream
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- Tortilla chips
Utensils Needed
Directions for Easy Taco Dip
Prep Time: 10 minutes
- In your bowl, dump all ingredients.
- Using the hand-held mixer, mix all ingredients until well mixed.
- You can serve right away or put in fridge for a few hours.
- Serve with chips.
Variations
- If you want a little thinner dip, you can either cut the cream cheese in half or add extra sour cream.
- You can mix by hand, but most likely will not break up cream cheese as smoothly. But it will still taste the same.
