Baked Cheddar Ranch Chicken is a recipe I found on Pinterest that I had been holding off on making. My husband in general is not a fan of chicken. Let me tell you, I wish I would have made this the day I came across it. He loved it and said it is some of the best chicken he has ever had. About 10 years ago Kraft had these cheese and seasoning packets you could buy. Half the packet had cheese and the other packet had bread crumbs and seasoning. You tore the seal open down the middle to mix the two together. Then added your chicken to the packet to coat it. Then baked it. They had about 5 different flavors you could purchase and they were all amazing. This recipe reminds me of exactly that. So if you know what I am referencing and enjoyed those, you will love this recipe. My husband asked me to add it to next weeks meal list as he was eating it, it was that good!
Ingredients for Baked Cheddar Ranch Chicken
- 2 – 6 raw boneless skinless chicken breast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 3 tablespoons ranch seasoning – 1 packet is about that
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1 cup plain panko bread crumbs
- 3/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Utensils Needed
- Meat tenderizer
- Sheet pan
- Medium mixing bowl or gallon Ziploc bag
- Measuring cups
- Measuring spoons
- Medium mixing bowl

Variations
- I mixed the sour cream and Ranch seasoning in a Ziploc bag, then put the chicken in that.
- Instead of pounding the chicken out. I cut my chicken in half to give me two thin breasts.
- Could make the recipe a bit healthier by using whole wheat bread crumbs.
