Crockpot Cheesy Italian Chicken is a very simple recipe, with minimal work to make it. I love to make it during the Winter as it is a nice warm meal. I love to serve a side of rice with this. But if you serve pasta with it, it reminds me of a spin off of chicken alfredo.
Ingredients for Crockpot Cheesy Italian Chicken
- 2 – 4 raw boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into pieces
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup
- 1 package dry Italian salad dressing mix
Utensils Needed
- Crockpot
- Kitchen Scissors
- Small bowl
- Can opener
- Spatula
- Pasta pot, optional
- Utensil spoon
- Strainer, optional
Directions for Crockpot Cheesy Italian Chicken
Prep Time: 10 minutes / Cook Time: 4-6 hours
- In a large crockpot, hold chicken over it and cut into pieces.
- In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, soup, and Italian dressing mix.
- Pour over the chicken and spread evenly.
- Cook chicken on high for 4-6 hours.
- Serve chicken over noodles or rice.
Variations
- I have seen recipes where you substitute the dry Italian dressing mix for dry Ranch dressing mix. I have yet to try that so I cannot give a comment on the taste.
- This recipe would go great with angel hair pasta as the soup mixture turns into more of a sauce. To try and keep it a tad healthier, we like to serve with rice.
- Any vegetable as a side would go with this, but we love my steamed broccoli recipe with this, click here for recipe.
