Crockpot Doritos Dip, I have never had anything like this recipe until recently. I had a crockpot party and a co-worker brought this. I am not a huge fan of this dip, but my husband is obsessed with it! Any time I make it, everyone else always loves it and wants to know the recipe. This is the perfect game day recipe. It would be a nice change up from the typical Rotel dip everyone makes. This recipe to me seems like the perfect dip to make a super spicy dip with. If you like spicy food, reference my tips below to make this spicy.

- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/3 bottle taco sauce
- Doritos
Utensils Needed
- Crockpot

- Saute pan
- Meat chopper
- Measuring spoon
Directions for Crockpot Doritos Dip
Prep Time: 20 minutes / Cook Time: 2 -3 hours on low
- Remove stem and seeds from pepper. Then dice pepper and onion. I put it all in a food processor to finely chop the peppers and onions.
- In a saute pan, add your meat, peppers, and onions.
- Turn burner to medium high heat. Mash your meat up with the meat chopper. Continue cooking until meat has browned.
- Drain if needed.
- Dump meat into a crockpot. Turn crockpot on low.
- Add the chili powder, taco sauce, and cheese.
- Stir everything up and place the lid on the crockpot.
- Stir occasionally. It is ready to serve once cheese is completely melted.
Variations
- Using Italian sausage gives this more flavor and a bit more spice. You could also use ground turkey or chicken.
- You could use hot/spicy Italian sausage to give it more heat.
- Adding some Cayenne pepper will also add heat.
- I use mild taco sauce, but you can easily add hot taco sauce to add more heat.
